NBSAT 2021 Overview


A candidate aspiring to join a PGDM/ MBA programme offered by Narayana Business School [NBS] has to take the common, mandatory Narayana Business School Aptitude Test (NBSAT) Computer Based Test (CBT) 2020.
The candidate needs to:
a. Register for NBSAT,
b. Pay the registration fee for NBSAT,
c. Register for her/his choice of programme(s) offered by NBS,
d. Pay the registration fee, separately for each programme.

If shortlisted for a programme applied to, the candidate would then need to participate in the further admission process (GD-PI) of that particular programme.

The registration process (including the payment of the registration fee) for NBSAT and Programme is integrated. A candidate can complete the NBSAT and programme registration (as well as pay the registration fee) on the same portal (nbs.edu.in)

SHORTLISTING AND SELECTION PROCESS


Shortlisting for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD-PI):

A candidate will be shortlisted for further admission process (GD-PI) based on her/his overall NBSAT Score. Please check the Narayana Business School’s website for information and dates of GD-PI. The cut-off for shortlisting is calculated separately for each programme. Based on her/his overall NBSAT Score, a particular candidate may get shortlisted for more than one programme. In such a scenario the candidate is expected to participate in the GD-PI for each programme separately.

Disclaimer


It is mandatory to attend GD-PI to be eligible for admission to any PG programme. Only the candidate who attends NBSAT + GD-PI shall be considered as eligible for generation of merit/wait/reject list. The candidate who remains absent for any one of the component/test will be considered as ineligible for the selection process of any of the PGDM / MBA programmes of NBS.

Category-wise cut off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the Website of Narayana Business School. Waitlist movement will depend upon the vacant seats available.

Please note that this admission is provisional and will be confirmed on payment of fees on or before the due date and subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions of the respective programme(s) and in accordance with the rules of the NBS.

The candidate is urged to note that no donation or capitation fee is required to be paid for admission to any programme offered by NBS. The candidate is cautioned against falling prey to any such assurance/offer by any individual or outside agency.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications and are awaiting results can also apply.
  • *The candidate must have studied Mathematics/Statistics at class XII level. Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics or economics would be an added advantage for PGDM-QF program.
  • ** The candidate must have studied Mathematics/Statistics at class XII level. Bachelor’s degree in IT engineering, Computer Applications, Finance, Statistics or Economics would be an added advantage for PGDM-DS-A program.
  • The candidate must have appeared for any recognized Management Entrance Examination like CMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT etc. and NBSAT (NBS aptitude test), a management entrance exam devised by Narayana Business School, which access the candidates Mathematical Aptitude, General Knowledge, Verbal Ability & Abstract Reasoning.
  • Prior Work Experience: There is no minimum or maximum work experience required to apply for MBA & PGDM program. However, having work experience will be an add on the advantage which brighten the chances of selection.
